Abstract: The Jesuits got little wages at the beginning of the Chongzhen Calendar Reform.The Court raised the wages on therequest of the Ming officials.The Jesuits were more concerned about their missionary work, so they were willing to participate in theReform at a very low pay from the Ming Dynasty.
