Abstract: Happiness is the ultimate goal of all activities of people. And subjective well-being has become one of the hotspots in Western psychology research since the 1970s. Researchers have examined various factors affecting subjective well-being, and personality is found to be the most stable and powerful predictor of it. This paper reviews and discusses the studies on the impacts of personality on subjective well-being in the past two decades, and prospects the developmental trend of further study.
