Abstract: This paper analyzes the main characteristics in studying process of contemporary Euro - American philosophy of technology, points out the predicament and empirical turn in the academic community, and argues that our research in the field should draw lessons and inspirations from contemporary Euro - American philosophy of technology research in some aspects, for example, in the research background, the research horizon and the empirical turn in the community, etc.
