On the Fundamental Features of Modern Urbanization in ChinaChinese Full Text

Abstract: Through analyzing the essence and connotation of urbanization as well as comparison between developed and developing countries, the article reviews the fundamental features of modern urbanization in China. He argues that the Chinese case is far more sophisticated than its Western counterparts, and therefore requires policies suitable for the Chinese situation, especially those that could transform the urban lifestyles instead of merely pursues economic growth.
