Abstract: The SGP-Ⅱ Dual side scan sonar is designed to operate in two sets of frequencies: （1） 25 KHz and 30 KHz, （2） 160 KHz and 190 KH.z It can operate both as a geological sonar and as a reconnaissance sonar. The paper also describes a precise multi-stylus recorder for general use. The total number of styluses is 1024 （i. e. 384 + 384 + 256）.
