Meta-analysis of Chinese medicine prescriptional on Hashimoto ThyrioditisChinese Full Text

Abstract: Objective: To assess the therapeutic effect and safety of Chinese medicine prescription on hashimoto thyrioditis.Method: CNKI,VIP and Wanfang Data were researched for the randomized controlled trials（ RCTs） of Chinese medicine prescription for hashimoto thyrioditis.Two reviewers evaluated the quality of the included RCTs and extracted the data critically and independently and then the extracted data was analyzed by using Rev Man 5.2 software.Result:Fourteen RCTs,involving 1286 patients entered the inclusion criteria.The results of Meta-analysis showed that compared with Western medicine treatment,Chinese medicine prescription and Western medicine treatment could increase the total effective rate,decrease the levels of Tg Ab and TPOAb and compared with placebo treatment,Chinese medicine prescription could increase the total effective rate and decrease the level of Tg Ab and TPOAb,but compared with Western medicine treatment,Chinese medicine prescription could increase the total effective rate and the effects of decreasing the levels of Tg Ab and TPOAb were similar.Conclusion: Chinese medicine prescription is effective in treatment hashimoto thyrioditis.However,the evidence is not strong due to the methodological quality and small sample and needs the strict designed clinical trials with large sample.
