Abstract: In recent years, the controlled radical polymerization through photoredox catalysis has been developed rapidly. The extension of the suitable monomer range and the optimization of reaction conditions make this method a useful way to synthesize functional polymer materials. In this review, the recent progress in photoredox controlled living polymerization was summarized, and some representative examples involving the use of monomer types were discussed. We hope this review can provide researchers with new ways and ideas for designing novel photopolymerization and functional polymer materials.
