Citizenship Education in Schools: A Need for Constructing Modernized ChinaChinese Full Text

Abstract: It is an inevitable choice for building modernized China to develop and enhance citizenship education in schools. It is also the real necessity for the social transformation of China. China’s comprehensive opening-up policy requires citizenship education that keeps pace with the times. Chinese citizens’ participation in international governance needs the support of citizenship education. Solving many social problems depends on citizenship education. China’s rise is inseparable from citizenship education. To cultivate modern citizen with healthy personality, to practice socialism core values, to realize the Chinese Dream, to promote a society ruled by law, all these goals can not be achieved without citizenship education. Citizenship education means to achieve the final goal of education and social development and the great rejuvenation of China.
