Abstract: This review paper summarizes recent research results in the field of semiconducting minerals and microorganisms synergistic interactions, lay particular emphasis on research results of the features of visible light-excited photoelectrons from nature semiconducting minerals of metal oxides and metal sulfides of ternary system of microorganisms, minerals and solar light. The promotion of life origin and evolution by mineral photoelectrons, the discovery of stimulated the growth of chemoautotrophic and heterotrophic bacteria regarding photoelectron utilization and the carbon dioxide fixation by the synergy between mineral photoelectrons and microorganisms are reviewed as well.Photoelectrons could effectively reduce carbon dioxide to organic matters, possibly providing organic matter foundation for the origin of life.
