Abstract: After analysing the behavior of the intrinsic responses of the second order networks and introducing the concept of complex lndex impedance of the passive elements、in this paper,a new method is ptesented to directly establish the characteristic eguation of them without forming the differential eguation. Moreover,on the basis of it we have developed “Three—Element Method” of analysing the second order networks which brings convenience for the practical calculation of them.
