Abstract: Transformer substation is an important electric power facility.Surveying and mapping is the foundation of three-dimensional modeling and visualization,operating maintenance,management and exception monitoring,but the structures are complex with structural heteromorphism.This paper adopts three-dimensional laser scanning technique to obtain point cloud data,making accurate measurement of transformer substation.It proposes a method based on the division of space region complexity( for example,dividing testing zone into uniform distribution region,close-packed array region,GIS region,transition region).Xinjiang Yazhong transformer substation is taken as an example to display the application of this method.At last,the three-dimensional modeling and visualization of transformer substation are realized.
