Abstract: Since the 21 st century,the influence of Chinese culture is steadily on the increase in the world with the growth of Chinese economic strength.The most prominent manifestation is that Chinese starts to become gradually the birthplace of English neologism,especially the Chinese neologism emerged since the 21 st century.This paper carries on a relatively detailed research of the English translation of Chinese Neologisms"Tuhao"and"Dama"by applying the theory of pragmatics,in the hope of providing valuable reference for translation practice and translation teaching of Chinese neologism.
