Abstract: This paper mainly answers the question of whether or not the role of manufacturing industry will reduce in urban economic transition based on special stage of China’s industrialization.Firstly the paper analyses the contribution and status of the manufacturing and service industries in the urban economic growth and examine the quality of growth in two industries.Secondly,the focus is on our development stage of industrialization,and at this stage the role of manufacturing.Then,re-examined the financial crisis makes the service-based cities tend to exhibit endogenous economic vulnerability.The study found that does not come to the service industry has become the Guangzhou mega-city of economic growth the conclusion of the main power service sector share of the increase was mainly the structure of manufacturing growth slowed in the process of industrialization to the evolution of technology intensive,cities,especially large cities should assume the functions of the technological upgrading and innovation and promote the overall upgrading and innovation and promote the overall upgrade of the country at all levels of regional industrial industrialization.
