CNKI Dissertations and Theses Databases are currently the most comprehensive doctoral dissertations and master’s theses full-text databases in China, featuring a broad range of disciplines. We operate them with standardized licensing and a commitment to quality, ensuring the dynamic and continuously updated collection of over 6 million papers.

Dissertations and theses in the databases are mainly sourced from 520 doctoral and 790 masters’ degree-granting institutions across China including 137 universities under the ‘Double First-Class’ Initiative and 35 universities under ‘Project 958’. The earliest papers date back to 1984.
